Party time, yes this is what has been happening every evening in the last week. It has been so crazy that parties in the last 3 days are 2 each evening so actually running around and trying to attend all is quite the challenge but so much fun. Yesterday was specifically entertaining running between a exhibition opening and a pot luck party, or between the North Shore and Commercial Drive ( both parties started at same time). The photo above is from the exhibition of a friend of mine Jackie Connolly http://www.jacquelinconnelly.com/main.html Her work is amazing and a big inspiration. So continuing is the pot luck party which takes place in the wonderful artistic house of a friend of mine Kiron. He is organizing this great parties every Thursday and every week we decide on a specific cuisine. This week the theme was CHEESE. Can it get better,I don't think so - fondue, baked Brie with rastberries and blueberries on top, variety of cheese's and fruit, macaroni and cheese ( the real thing home cooked and first time try for me), cheescake and lots and lots of wine. So before I go off to join a crowd at a bar downtown I want to say how impressed by one of my friends . He has amazing passion toward photojournalism http://filipephotos.com/Welcome.html and reminds me of me when I was 23 and went to Magnum and wanted to become a war photographer, follow the steps of Cartier-Bresson and MacCury ( still want to and still love photojournalism as much). He flew today to follow his dreams and I am so impressed by the lack of fear and his incredible determination to go and photograph. Good luck, be safe and bring back amazing photos.
